About MDCAT

The Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) is a mandatory standardized exam for admission to MBBS and BDS programs in all public and private medical and dental institutions across Pakistan. It is a pen-and-paper-based test with a duration of 3.5 hours (210 minutes).

MDCAT Paper Pattern

• Total MCQs: 200
• Test Duration: 3.5 hours
• Minimum Passing Marks for MBBS: 55%
• Minimum Passing Marks for BDS: 50%
• No Negative Marking

Merit Criteria

• MDCAT: 50%
• Intermediate (FSc Pre-Medical): 40%
• Matriculation: 10%
